GACA

The Georgia Addiction Counselors Association (GACA) is a non-profit association dedicated to high standards for professionals who provide addiction Counseling. Established in 1980 to provide a statewide association of addiction counselors and other persons interested in addiction, GACA is comprised of a volunteer Board of Directors elected by its membership and a volunteer Certification Board appointed by the Directors with the sole purpose of carrying out the mission of the Association. Our express concern was, and remains, the welfare of persons who are chemically dependent or abusing mood-altering chemicals in the state of Georgia.

ADACBGA

The Alcohol & Drug Abuse Certification Board (ADACBGA) was founded in 1992 as the Georgia Affiliate Board of the International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium (IC&RC) for addiction and recovery professionals. Core ADACBGA credentials (CADC-I, CADC-II, and CAADC) grant a legal scope of practice to hold oneself out and practice as an Alcohol & Drug Counselor under Georgia Law (Georgia Code § 43-10A-7-15 and 15.1).

Accountability Courts

Alcohol & Drug Court Program: The Richmond County State Court Alcohol & Drug Court Program (“Program”) is a treatment program for those who have been charged with the offense of Possession of Marijuana or minor/underage possession of alcohol.
